When setting up your Giftees account, you’ll need to connect at least one supported payment method to accept payments from your customers.
You can choose an online payment method, such as PayPal, Stripe, Square, or other supported gateways, or an offline payment method, like direct bank transfer or payment by phone.
If you link an online payment method (e.g., PayPal), the full revenue from each gift card sale will be sent directly to your connected payment account immediately after the transaction. The funds will then follow your payment provider’s payout schedule to reach your bank account. Note that your payment provider may deduct their processing fees before transferring the funds.
Giftees does not typically hold or manage funds from gift card purchases. All transactions are processed directly between your selected payment gateway (e.g., PayPal) and the customer purchasing the gift card. Consequently, payouts for your gift card sales are managed entirely by your connected payment provider.
In some countries, such as the Philippines, payments for gift card purchases may first pass through the Giftees platform. In these cases, Giftees collects the funds and manages scheduled payouts to your registered bank account or preferred payout method.
If this applies to your account, Giftees will provide detailed information about the payout schedule and any associated fees during account setup.
This approach ensures compliance with local regulations and provides a seamless payment experience for both merchants and customers. For questions regarding your region-specific payout process, feel free to contact Giftees support.
No, the Giftees fee is separate from any charges by your payment processor. However, this is usually a non-issue since payment processing fees are applied only once—either when you sell a gift card or when customers redeem it by purchasing your product or service directly. Rest assured, you’ll never be charged processing fees twice.
When you sell a gift card, a 2.9% fee (with a $0.50 minimum) will be added to your monthly invoice. If you don’t sell any gift cards during the month, you won’t be charged anything—no sales, no fees!
